Our story
We started because we saw something others missed: an entire region full of entrepreneurial talent, world-changing ideas, and relentless founders, yet chronically overlooked by capital.
Over the past two decades, our team has lived, built, and invested across Southern Africa. We've mentored founders, helped scale startups, supported incubators, and seen firsthand the brilliance and grit of entrepreneurs across Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and beyond.
But we kept running into the same story: great founders, great ideas, no capital. We realized the problem wasn't potential — it was access. So we built a VC to change that.

Our why
Southern Africa is at a pivotal moment. Innovation is rising. Infrastructure is catching up. The world is starting to pay attention, but most investors are still on the sidelines.
Incubators and accelerators are producing investment-ready startups. Internet and mobile penetration are accelerating, unlocking digital business models even in rural areas. Natural gas and oil discoveries in Namibia and Mozambique are set to fuel economic growth and infrastructure expansion. A new generation of founders are building scalable solutions to real-world problems — solutions that can extend far beyond their borders.
We believe this region holds the kind of asymmetric opportunity that only comes around once in a generation: low competition, high-quality deal flow, and founders who are building the future.

Our approach
We invest early in overlooked, high-potential startups across Southern Africa. We back founders building scalable, problem-solving businesses, and create value through capital, mentorship, and ecosystem connectivity.
Check sizes range from $1,000 to $100,000 USD. We offer strategic guidance across operations, product development, and fundraising; plug founders into our vetted network of legal, technical, and go-to-market advisors; amplify visibility through owned and partnered media platforms; and prepare companies for Series A and institutional capital.
Our screening focuses on three questions: Does the founding team have the expertise, grit, and clarity to execute? Is the problem meaningful and the solution validated or ready to scale? Can this business model scale within the region or to adjacent markets?

Our team comprises experienced entrepreneurs, operators, and ecosystem builders with over 20 years of collective experience across Southern Africa. We've led startups, shaped policy, and built founder support systems in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique.
With hands-on startup experience and deep regional insight, we've built a consistent deal flow from accelerators and incubators, entered promising early-stage deals, and used media to amplify visibility. This fund formalises our work — scaling our ability to back bold founders and unlock value in a high-potential, underserved market.
